Kevin went into Anslie's room the other night to check on her before we went to bed and this is what he found:
Talk about a parent's worst nightmare! Anslie was NOT in her bed and Kevin couldn't find her! He did a quick search of her closet because she likes to play in there sometimes, and nothing. As his eye adjusted to the darkness, he finally found her here:
Apparently Anslie climbed out of her crib (which she has never done before) and made herself cozy in her rocking chair with a good book. Pretty cute, except for the fact that she could fall out of her crib and break her neck at any given point! Kevin picked her up and put her back in bed and the night went on without a peep from her.
We asked her the next morning to show us how she climbs out of her crib and she couldn't do it and she hasn't climbed out since. Maybe it was a one-time fluke? Or maybe it's time to think about getting a toddler bed? Time will tell....

LOVE LOVE LOVE ALL THESE POSTS! Glad to hear everything went awesome with the birth. Zac is adorable. I think he looks exactly like Kevin. And, the story about Anslie leaving the crib was hilarious!!!! CUTE FAMILY!!!
Jonah did that a couple weeks ago. Just showed up in the hallway in the morning with his blanket. Still not sure how he got out of his crib, but we lowered the mattress as far as we could and it hasn't happened since. Glad Anslie was ok! :)
That's hilarious! That's awesome that you took pictures of it. I'm still so bad at taking pictures. Poor Ryker isn't going to have much photo documentation of his babyhood if I don't get better.
both my kids learned how to climb out of their cribs before they were 18 months old so they start in toddler beds pretty early but that also means they are free to leave their beds and climb into ours. What a good girl that she just was reading her book and not doing something naughty.
