We had a fun-filled 4th of July Weekend! We spent the day at a poolside BBQ with our good friends, Tony, Jessy, and Cali, and Owen, Britni, and Mia. All of the parents and babies enjoyed cooling off and splashing around in the pool.
Afterwards, Kevin had to go to work, but Anslie and I went with the group to a nearby fireworks show. Anslie really liked all of the loud noises and bright lights, although I did catch her a few times more interested in the grass than the fireworks show.
Anslie and I stayed the night at Owen's and Britni's house, and then on Saturday we went to the Irvine Spectrum (a gigantic mall) and then met Kevin for lunch. Anslie got to take her first "pony" ride this weekend! Mia has a giant automated pony that moves it's head and whinnies while you ride on it's back. That was AWESOME! Anslie is definately an animal lover.
We enjoyed another dip in the pool, board games (Tribond is my new favorite game), and some yummy ice cream and brownie Sundays. It was definately a happy Independence Day for the Ruffners.
