Aaaahhhhhh!!!.... and...... Eeeewwwwww!!!!

Anslie has a little bit of a diaper rash so I decided to let her run around without a diaper on to let her bum air out. I knew I needed to keep an eye on her to make sure she didn't pee on everything. Well, I in my usual wisdom, didn't listen to my own advice and got distracted doing something on my computer when all of a sudden this stink started permeating throughout the room. I looked down at Anslie who was playing at my feet and saw her lifting a chunk of poo to her mouth! (yes... let the moans and groans and dry heaving commence) She had not just peed all over my carpet, she pooped all over it too and made good and sure she smeared it all over herself. Needless to say I threw her in the bathtub immediately. The poor thing was shocked with cold water, but that's what you get for crapping on my floor! It was pretty gross cleaning up smeared poo from the carpet and her toys...and in between her toes, and her hair, and her legs, and her bottom. That being said, I was pleased to find that it didn't gross me out even half as much as cleaning up dog poop (and I have done A LOT of that in my day). And I thought the days of poop on my carpets were over when we got rid of Penelope... (I didn't include pics to preserve everyone's appetite)

poop happens. sometimes in great quantities. i've accepted our furniture and carpeting are there simply to get trashed by kids.

you have now experienced something as a mother that I never have, even after having four kids. However, I have had lots of poop tales, like when Jake was pottytraining, and he'd had an accident and he didn't want me to know, and so he took the poop out of his pants and hid it under his bed, or the time he took it out of his pants and hid it behind his pants, yep, and actual log of crap behind the blinds. And then there was the time he had an accident and so he tried to clean it up, and it got all over the toilet and his hands so he wiped his poop hands all over his clothes. But hey! He never tried to eat it though so welcome to toddlerhood! Happy pooping!
