Just so that I could say I've done one....

Kevin talked me into this one, although it was I who got us there on time. We had to wake up at 5:30am so that we could get to registration by 6am and Kev wanted to go back to sleep. You know, he runs several miles a day and all so this 5k (even though it was his idea to do it) wasn't any biggy to him. I'm happy to report that I finished the race in 34 minutes, 1 second, all in one piece, and without throwing up or pooping my pants. Not too bad for not even exercising for almost 2 years before running. :)

You are awesome! How long have you been planning on doing this? I had no idea. You should have told me! Good job Shillawna!

I agree with Tera, I would have loved to have known you sneaky girl. But, what a wonderful surprise. In many of my running day dreams I imagined us sisters running a 5k together. In a way it came true today. Ah dang, I'm gonna cry. Anyway, you did just great. I am so proud of you for doing this (and getting there on time). I can't wait to hear all about it. It looks to have been an extra special event.

Nice! I'm doing my second one in like two weeks. I totally need to start running before then because I am not cool like you, I totally can't just wake up and run 3 miles! Last time I ran a "5K" it actually ended up being 4 miles instead so I have no idea what my time was. Anyway, that's so awesome that you ran it!!!

Well look at you girl!!! Wow, this move has done something to you because you weren't really into any of that running stuff here! How fun, now you are going to want to do another one and watch out, maybe a marathon one day?!?
